TheChoicer is reader-supported, and we want you to understand exactly what that means. This page explains how we earn money, in the same plain language we use everywhere else.
How the money works
Some links on TheChoicer are affiliate links. If you click one and buy, the brand or retailer may pay us a commission. The commission comes out of the seller's marketing budget, not out of your pocket: you pay the same price you would pay arriving at the store directly, and often less, because we negotiate conditions and surface the best available offer.
Commissions do not pick winners
Our research team settles on a verdict before commercial terms enter the picture. We regularly recommend products that pay us nothing, and we decline partnerships for products that fail our quality bar. If every commission disappeared tomorrow, our verdicts would read exactly the same.
Why we work this way
The affiliate model lets us keep TheChoicer free, without paywalls, without ads chasing you around the internet, and without selling your data. Our income depends on purchases people are happy with, which means our incentive is your satisfaction, not your click.
How you can tell
We disclose our affiliate relationships on every page where they exist, not just here. When we link to a store, it is either the best offer our research found or an official source for the product. We never disguise advertising as editorial content.
